Designing
Timeless Spaces

Mission
Our mission is to design homes that optimize our client’s quality of life by designing through the lens of family culture, human health, and an experiential connection to nature.
Homes are our passion. They are sacred. They are where we spend the majority of our time and where we make lasting memories. We believe that homes should be beautiful, functional, and most importantly, serve the unique needs and nuances of our clients.
Vision
Our vision is to foster a culture of environmental consciousness that is inspired by a deep human connection with nature.
We believe that the consciousness around environmental sustainability is shifting from fear to love. Our approach to sustainability is a celebration of the beauty and abundance that Earth provides when we live in sync with her systems and cycles.
Our Philosophy
Atmospheric
spatial design
Our practice is grounded in the following beliefs:
Impact
Architecture affects people physically, mentally, and emotionally, and has the capacity to support human well-being.
Expression
Architecture is a synthesis of aesthetic expression, sensitivity to context, and the sensory experience of space.
Connection
Architecture can facilitate a human connection to nature, and sustainable design techniques should enhance and support this connection.
Our process
Our design process is a collaborative journey that is guided by the intention of creating a home environment that supports your optimal quality of life. Below is an outline of our process from start to finish.
Intake Application
To get started, please fill out our contact form. We will send you some more information about our services and process.
Initial Consultation
You will have the opportunity to schedule a complimentary 30 minute virtual consultation with our founder, Anne Beatrice Baker. This is a chance for us to get to know each other, establish goals, a timeline, and a budget for your project, and assess whether or not we both feel we are a good fit for working together.
Proposal / Agreement
You will receive a proposal and legal agreement for the full scope of services. Once we receive a signed agreement and deposit, your project will be scheduled to begin.
Pre-Design
Pinterest is your best friend! Your homework is to collect imagery that inspires you and conveys your aesthetic. We'll schedule a time to for your kickoff meeting, and we'll take measurements if you are starting with an existing home. Before we begin design, we usually require a survey of your property and can point you to resources to get one.
Architectural Design
Now that we've gathered and organized all the necessary information to make your project a success, we'll get to work creating two design options including floor plans and exterior 3D views. We will meet to review the design options and get your feedback, and then figure out a plan to move forward with one design that integrates everything you want. In this phase, we’ll also introduce you to our preferred builders and get their feedback on pricing to confirm we are working within your budget.
Interior Design
After the Schematic Design Phase, we will hone in on what materials, colors, and textures we'll use in your project based on your Pinterest board. We will gather material samples and begin interior elevation drawings.
Permitting
Once we have an approved design and a contractor selected, we will complete the drawings for Permitting and Construction. Permit review times generally take several weeks, and revisions are sometimes a part of this process. If a change of use, historic landmark, HOA, or public review is involved, this process will take longer.
Construction Administration
Once your permit is issued and your contractor is mobilized, we will be available for on-site meetings and to discuss questions as they arise so that what is built is reflective of the design intention.
Furnishings
With our luxury turnkey design services, we select, purchase, and install furnishings and decor, assuring that our eye for detail has gazed upon every last detail of your home.
Celebration & Photography
You made it! Time for you to celebrate and enjoy your new space, and for us to take pictures.
